Visitors - What to Expect on Sunday Mornings at East Ridge Baptist Church
Our congregation is made up of people of all ages who are in all stages life. You will be warmly welcomed to participate in our journey.
What will I wear?
There is no dress code at East Ridge Baptist Church. Jeans are as common as suits and polo shirts as common as ties. Wear what you are comfortable wearing to worship.
Where will I park?
Most of our parking is behind our main building. As you follow the drive toward the back you will see designated visitors parking on your left and additional parting beyond that.
What time is worship?
Our Sunday morning Bible study groups begin at 9:30. Our worship service follows at 10:50, and takes place in the worship center (activities building) at the back of our property adjacent to Marlboro Avenue.
What will I see?
You will see a group of people who have come together to meet God in worship, to hear His word preached, to pray, to sing, and to praise the Lord. There will be men and women, children and youth, old and young, gathered around One God and His Son Jesus Christ. We believe that God’s works miracles in His family and equips each and every member for service in His kingdom.
What kind of music will I hear?
We use a wide variety of music in our worship of God. You will hear traditional hymns and contemporary songs and choruses. Our commitment is to bring everything we have to God in worship, and to use our gifts with a commitment to excellence in all that we do. We love worship at East Ridge and look forward to an exciting, life altering, Spirit led service that brings glory to God.
What about children?
Children are treasured at East Ridge Baptist Church and are always welcomed in worship. There is a nursery available for infants through three-year-olds that many parents use as an option during worship. Children five years old through the 5th grade are invited to children’s worship in the children’s center.
Will anyone ask me to say or do anything?
You will not be called upon in any way. We want to treat our guests with respect. We are blessed that you would take the time to come our way. You will be invited to fill out a visitor’s slip but you are not required to do so.
